Modular Freedom. Built to last.

Engineered for strength, designed to adapt — your Apex Reptile® forever home starts here.

Product Features:

Premium materials. Interlocking strength. Adaptable for every reptile, every setup, and every stage of keeping.

Front Door Options — Designed for Real Keeper Routines

Choose the perfect access style for your reptile’s setup. Every Apex door design combines strength, clarity, and smooth daily use for real keeper routines.

Single Swing Down Door

Wide, unobstructed access for enclosures placed higher off the ground. Ideal for reptiles comfortable with movement and display setups that need easy maintenance.

Double Swing Door

Our most popular choice. Two doors open independently to minimize heat and humidity loss while maximizing safety and visibility during feeding or interaction.

Swing Out vs. Swing Down

Swing-out doors are best for lower enclosures or quick-close scenarios. Swing-down doors work beautifully for stacked or elevated setups. Both lock tight with Apex’s interlocking frame system for lifetime strength.

Top Options — Control Heat, Light & Ventilation

Choose your top to match your reptile’s climate and lighting needs. Each option balances airflow, humidity, and heat retention for precision control.

Solid Top

Keeps heat and humidity steady while allowing secure mounting of radiant heat panels, UVB bars, or LEDs. Stack safely without losing efficiency or aesthetics.

Half Screen Top

A balanced mix of ventilation and insulation. Combine dome fixtures on the screen side with internal lighting for stable, customizable setups.

Full Screen Top

Maximum airflow and external fixture mounting for arid species or high-ventilation environments. Perfect for desert reptiles and easy maintenance access.

Substrate Height Options — Tailored for Every Species

Match substrate depth to your reptile’s natural behavior and humidity needs.

Low Substrate (≈2”)

Easy to clean and perfect for minimal substrate set-ups and for keepers who prefer maximizing vertical space.

Medium Substrate (≈4”)

Our most versatile choice — ideal for most species and builds. Deep enough for enrichment, shallow enough for easy upkeep.

High Substrate (≈8”)

Built for burrowers and bioactive ecosystems. Deep soil capacity supports plant roots and natural digging behavior.

Side Window Options — Visibility Meets Privacy

Control visibility and environmental stability with customizable side panels.

No Side Windows

Maximum privacy and insulation. Ideal for shy or nocturnal reptiles and equipment-heavy setups.

One Side Window

Balanced visibility and climate control. One window also makes it easy to add on to the enclosure later. When you're ready, just take out the clear window and attach the next enclosure.

Two or More Windows

Observe your reptile from every angle. Best for confident, active species and centerpiece habitats.

Nice Cage, Unresponsive Customer Service

I like the cage overall but have been very disappointed in the lack of response to service requests. Upon receiving my tank, it was sent without the window for the side, with multiple wrong size bolts, and wrong size hinges. Despite emailing twice, they never responded. I ended up having to order and cut a polycarbonate panel, buying custom bolts, and buying new hinges to complete the tank. I would have liked to love this tank but the experience was frustrating after waiting a few weeks for the product.

Love the idea of a modular enclosure!

Overall, I really like the concept of being able to add on to an enclosure. Decided to try it for my Dominican red mountain boa, who finally graduated out of a tub. Starting her off in a 2x2x2 with the knowledge that I can accommodate adequate space in case she gets 6+ ft.

I would really prefer having better instructions. I found it personally hard to follow, but to be fair I'm not good at building stuff like this, so maybe that's just me.

Best enclosure and design on the market!

I have many enclosures from many different manufacturers but I’ll be going with Apex from now on. Apart from good looks and quality materials these enclosures boast a very well thought out modular design. The parts fit together like a puzzle and the tolerances are so tight you almost don’t need screws to hold it together. I was a little concerned it would take a while for my order to be completed because my confirmation email said “6-8 week lead times” but I received my enclosure like 1 week after I submitted the order. The flat packing and free shipping is a welcome bonus. Apex sets themselves apart and ahead of the pack. I look forward to using Apex for ALL my reptiles in the future.

Wondering about...?

🧩 What does “modular” mean?

Yes! Any enclosures can be combined length-wise on the 2'x2' side. Any enclosures of the same size can be combined height-wise and depth-wise. All enclosure combinations are done with extension kits.

🧼 How easy are these to clean, really?

Very easy to clean! PVC itself is resistant to damage from water and many chemicals. This means you can wash it and sanitize it repeatedly without worrying about mold or rot if it isn't dried properly like with wood enclosures. Remember to seal your seams with silicone to prevent leaks and spills though!

💡 Why PVC? Isn’t glass fine?

Glass works — until it doesn’t. Our ½-inch USA-made PVC keeps heat and humidity locked in, so you spend less on electricity and more time enjoying your pet. It’s strong, quiet, and stress-reducing for your reptile (no reflections, fewer vibrations). And since you can screw into it safely, you can build their dream habitat — hammocks, branches, ledges — all exactly where you want them. One enclosure that lasts for years and adapts as your setup evolves? That’s smart keeping.

🌱 Can I go bioactive with these?

  • PVC enclosures are ideal for bioactive setups thanks to the material's insulating properties which help maintain a stable environment for plants and animals.
  • The material itself is waterproof both inside and out, preventing water damage and making it easier to maintain high humidity levels.
  • Keep in mind, it is still important to seal the enclosure seams with silicone once assembled.

🔥 How do I heat & light my Apex enclosure?

Simple — no fancy setup required.

Solid top? Screw in your radiant heat panels, ceramic fixtures, or UVB light bars right into the lid.

Screen top? Place domes or UVB bars directly on top or suspend them above. Skip heat mats — PVC is too insulating for those. The result: steady temps, consistent lighting, and a setup that looks as professional as it performs.

🏗️ What should I have ready before my reptile moves in?

Think of it like prepping a cozy, functional apartment:
✔️ UVB light & heat source
✔️ Thermostat + thermometer/hygrometer
✔️ Substrate & décor for climbing/hiding
✔️ Silicone sealant for seams
✔️ Feeding & cleaning tools
✔️ A sturdy, level spot to call home

A few minutes of prep = years of effortless care.

⏳ Why is the lead time a little longer?

Because we don’t mass-produce — we craft. Each enclosure is cut, engraved, and assembled right here in Arizona by a small U.S. team that actually cares about your reptile’s home. Your order isn’t pulled from a warehouse; it’s built for you and the reptile who’ll call it home. Worth the wait? Every single time.
